Locations

Our Commercial St building is a large open room with a kitchen space. A large space is set with tables and chairs for Painting, Colouring, using Materials and other Crafts. We have a large range of Materials, Paints, Foam, Cardboard, Stencils, and much more allowing us to provide many choices to be creative with Art & Craft.

 In the upper level is a lounge space with a large TV where participants can relax and watch movies or YouTube. The TV in this area is able to swing around so that step by step tutorials can be viewed while working in the craft area, or for doing a bit of yoga.  Karaoke is very popular in this area.

Everyone sits together for their lunches and socialise around the dining table. We also have a computer that is specifically for the Participants to use. They can do digital art and craft, print out pages and send and receive emails.

Every Friday is cooking for lunch and the Participants have opportunities to build skills of daily living, assisting with all aspects of meal preparation.

Being located on the main street gives us a great opportunity to combine outings with exercise as we find many community activities within walking distance. We also enjoy community activities further afield to increase our experiences.

We have a Shop Front where the participants can sell their creations and receive 100% of the selling price. EFTPOS is available. The participants are able to be part of the interaction with customers and they are very proud and excited when someone buys the piece of work they have created.

A miniature dachshund puppy is on site daily. She is loved by the participants and is instrumental in assisting with calming.  

We have been on many adventures at Commercial St, and we also catch up with the Blackwood St participants for some activities and outings. See Adventures

Blackwood St has plenty of space with large rear patio. There is a huge shed at rear of property with separate kitchen and office.  Outdoor areas include large "Adult" trampoline, garden with raised garden beds and ball play space. We also have a regular puppy visitor. 

Rooms

 We have a sensory room for people with sensory differences. It contains a range of tactile, auditory, visual or movement-based experiences that can help when someone might be feeling overwhelmed with an overstimulated environment.   This room also has a couch and TV with DVD player.

The lounge area has a dining table and couches. We do puzzles and colouring as well as enjoy meals at the table. There is a large TV so we can watch music clips and movies. It's great for Karaoke, which is one of our favourite activities. We also have some activities in here with Race Sim driving wheels on the TV with a computer so participants can try driving with a wheel. We have a computer dedicated for Participant use. They use this for digital puzzles, browse the internet for things of interest, and to practice and build their IT skills.

An additional room is used as both a quiet space and a changing room. We have a lifter, electric bed and other assistive technology in here.

Every Friday is cooking for lunch in the kitchen and the Participants have opportunities to build skills of daily living, assisting with all aspects of meal preparation. Through the week the kitchen is used for other cooking activities, or science experiments. 

We have a large patio with BBQ out the back. We use this for "outside" art projects and it's a great place to enjoy lunch and sit and relax. We have BBQ's and invite Commercial St participants and we all have a great time. There is also some gym equipment set up for Participants to get some exercise if they want.

Shed

The large shed is an open space with an attached quite room where Participants can play musical instruments or have some space to themselves. It also has a kitchenette. 

We have multiple Wood working Machines as well as a large range of tools. We create and complete lots of projects from making a bench from an old bed to wooden robots with moveable arms and legs.

We also have an 8-Ball table, table tennis table, throwing games and basketball ring. Large paint projects are also done in shed. Discos and other events are held in here with lots of hanging art and lights.

A separate area is also dedicated to more gym equipment and punching bags.
